As creative folks, sometimes we just think that we don’t have it in us. It isn’t that we’re depressed poets or artists that revel in suffering (and if you are, there is a better way!), and it isn’t necessarily that we’ve been rejected or have received harsh criticism. Sometimes we look at those podcasters, authors, frequently published or featured artists and makers (or bloggers), and think to ourselves, “Man, those people are so proficient! How do they find the time/inspiration/talent/support/money/skills?” [delete as necessary]

Well, I’m here to tell you that you can do it as well. You’ve got it in you. It may be hard, it will need work, and you won’t be able to give yourself excuses. Just know this:

You Are Enough.

Say it out loud right now: “I am enough.” You aren’t lesser than anyone else, and you’re not greater than you need to be. You are enough. Having this mindset can free us from the blocks that we put in our minds. It can free us from comparing ourselves to other people. It can free us so that we can continue with our creativity.

This is all I have to say about creative boundaries. It is all that I believe needs saying and my brain is fried anyway since I just completed an ultra-marathon.

I will return with another topic of discussion on creativity when I can form another fully coherent sentence. 🙂

  1. Great reminder!!!! Be happy for other accomplishments and believe in yourself. Comparisons are never good… everyone is unique and has their own time to shine!!!!
